Experience the rich history of the Royal Château de Cognac
Discovery of the rich history of this property, intertwined with the history of France and the Kings and historical figures who lived and stayed here: nine French and English Kings, including Richard the Lionheart, have been hosted at the Château.
The tour includes visiting Private Apartments where the French King François Ist was born in 1494. These Private Rooms are usually closed to the public, but will be exceptionnaly opened for you.

The tour then moves on to the Château cellars, which offer exceptional ageing conditions for our Cognacs, including the secret ‘Paradise’ cellar, a former dungeon dating from the Renaissance era and home of our oldest and most precious eaux-de-vie.
Here, visitors are given a detailed explanation on how our Cognacs are made.

The tour ends with a tasting* of our BARON OTARD VSOP, XO Gold and EXTRA 1795 Cognacs, plus the exceptional and exclusive Collection du Roi Cuvée 3.
