State room

This room, built by François 1er in 1517 at the beginning of his reign, stands out by the superb Renaissance architecture, so different from the other parts of the Château dating from the Middle Ages. This vast, brightly lit room, with its view over the river, was used in the past for royal receptions. It is today the ideal setting for all major occasions.
