Identity:
The Otard 55*, the first cognac at 55° offered by a cognac firm, is the offspring of blends made over two hundred years ago by Baron Otard. Originally stored in oak barrels at 70°, its final alcoholic content of 55° is the result of its long journeys across the oceans of the world. The Otard 55 perpetuates that authentic taste thanks to its ageing in the unique humidity of the cellars of the Château de Cognac.
Tasting notes:
Its natural intensity is superbly balanced by the light, complex and aromatic bouquet of spices, oak, vanilla, honey, lime-trees and sultanas. Never aggressive, its exceptional length on the palate reveals the full richness of a great cognac.
How best to drink it:
Neat, or with a dash of water, or on the rocks.
